Literary and historical education evolves into innovative courses to tell history, both the big one and the small one, related to everyday places. As Marc Bloch wrote: “history is the science of men in time” and, in a present that seems without a past and with an uncertain future, I’ve created guided-tours through the city of Mantua following traces from the past to tell names, events and curiosities especially linked to the twentieth century; among them I mention experimental events that mix divulgation and site specific theatrical performances as in Festivaletteratura 2021.
